For the odd straggler who seems inclined to visit this site and who, in the last, oh, 8 months or so has found the site virtually inaccessible, may be surprised to be able to get on quickly and load pages and even view videos in a decent, reasonable manner.

So, why is this? What happened is as follows… I had expressed my frustration with the site’s performance — or lack thereof — with the ISP hosting the site, who then suggested I upgrade. Long story short, although my initial instinct was to find a better, less expensive solution to the problem elsewhere, turns out that I already had the best of a bad lot as ISP, so decided to stay with them and upgrade, which ended up costing me no more than what it has been costing.

So, hopefully things won’t degrade due to loss of net neutrality or other frustrations.
